Larmer Tree Gardens Wiltshire Wedding Venue

- An historic and beautiful wedding venue -

I’m really quite taken with Larmer Tree Gardens wedding venue. As a wedding photographer I’m lucky to shoot at some fantastic venues with beautiful outdoor spaces and buildings but what makes Larmer Tree Gardens a little different is a sense of drama and mystery.

Larmer Tree Gardens - the Temple and the Generals Room.

As is my custom, when a arrived I took a stroll round the grounds and I felt like it was a place one could get lost in - in a good way! Rounding any corner there was always a surprise - maybe a narrow, enclosed pathway or an ornate building or a meandering path.

Basically the place has got atmosphere and gentle flamboyance that’s very endearing. I guess that’s what General Pitt Rivers was after when he set about creating the 11 acre grounds in the 1880s.

Larmer Tree Gardens - The Temple

The centerpiece of Larmer Tree Gardens wedding venue are a number of buildings that sit around a large lawn. There’s the Singing theatre with it’s soft painted backdrop. The Roman Temple that is perched above the rockery and pond. And then the ornate Indian Room. All of which can be used as part of your wedding celebration. The gardens have got Victorian fantasy written all over them and it’s really nice to be taken away and enjoy a bit of privacy and indulgence the venue offers.

Larmer Tree Gardens also offers modern, stylish indoor spaces for wedding breakfasts and rainy days. There’s space enough for 150 seated guests and 250 for the evening party along with a professional kitchen. I was also impressed with the hard-working, diligent staff.

All in all, Larmer Tree Gardens is a great wedding venue!
