Taking a stroll
The day began for me by taking a stroll around the beautiful grounds of Down Hall; this was the first time I had shot a wedding here so getting a feel for how I would approach the wedding photography was a first important step. I then headed into the Hotel to photograph the two brides nervously getting ready with the support of Pkay Bridal hair and make up.
August weather
The plan was for an August outdoor ceremony but the wild (August!) weather did not play ball. Undeterred, H & T refused to let the weather put a damper on the day and everyone got into the spirit of things.
Candid wedding photos
A heartfelt indoor ceremony was followed by cocktails outside where I focused my lens on lots of natural, candid wedding photos of the couple and their guests soaking up the moment (and the cocktails!).
Wedding dance-floor photography
H & T were beautifully serenaded by two close friends before dinner and speeches. The evening, as is tradition, ended with wild and celebratory dancing with the stunning Supatight who almost blew the roof off the hotel with 3 sets of fantastic R & B music.
